3 Local Businesses

Since 2006 Sound Advice has relied on the patronage and word-of-mouth of horse owners in our local community. We are proud to be a small family business handmaking our supplements here in the Hunter Valley and responding to the custom requirements of our face-to-face customers.

In this post we'd like to highlight some other small businesses that are a stone's-throw from us - all run by hard-working horse-women. All horse-owners themselves, they are using practical skills and knowledge as experienced equestriennes to make unique products and services you might be interested in.

InSync Halters is a family business based in the Hunter Valley of NSW. Owners Dave and Kel have been keen horse enthusiasts from a young age. They now share their passion for horses with their 2 young children. Kel competes regularly in working equitation as well as being the main "work-horse" in the Insync Workshop.

InSync makes beautiful quality halters, reins, bitless bridles, lunge leads, neck ropes and dog leads in a vast range of colours and lengths.

Wollemi Hills is based in the foothills of Wollemi National Park at Bulga - a beautiful location with great facilities and miles of trails to explore.

Wollemi Hills offers holiday clinics for young riding enthusiasts, regular lessons, as well as training young horses, and retraining started horses that might have developed a few bad habits.

Aleana has extensive experience with horses and people, and has a gentle, understanding approach to both. She has many sound, safe, quiet horses for you to learn on, or you can bring your own.

Many clients travel a long way to receive instruction in a safe pair of hands. Follow them on facebook to keep up-to-date.

Amy is a skilled seamstress offering rug repairs as well as customised products to meet your needs such as customised haynets, brush caddies and manure-catchers for harness horses.

Amy is a life-saver for horse-owners who own horses hard on rugs that we spend all our hard-earned money on!

We want to highlight great Australian small businesses creating quality products for Australian horse owners as recurring blog topic. If you own a small equine services business, or you would like to recommend one for us to include in future posts, please pm us, or comment below.
